Bhool Bhulaiyaa is an Indian Hindi movie that was directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the T-Series Films banner. It is a psychological horror comedy film that was a remake of the 1993 Malayalam horror film Manichitrathazhu. It was released in 2007 with a budget of 27 Crore INR and became the 6th highest-grossing movie of the year making a worldwide collection of 82.35 Crore INR.
Now, makers are ready to revive the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. The sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa is going to release with the same name but Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani are going to step into the shoes of Akshaya Kumar and Vidya Balan as the lead cast.

As the name itself suggested Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the second installment in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. This time the lead cast had been replaced. The male lead role is going to be played by Kartik Aryan who was played by Akshaya Kumar in the first part and Kiara Advani will be seen as a female lead in the movie, which was played by Vidhya Balan in the first part. Reported that the movie is going to be produced with a budget of 30-35 Crore approximately.

Earlier the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 were planning to release the movie in 2020, but it didn’t become possible due to COVID 19. Makers were not ready to release the movie on any OTT platforms. Due to this the release date of the movie was shifted to 25 March 2022 but again it wasn’t able to release due to some problems now the final date of the release of the movie is officially out. It is officially announced that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is finally going to release on the big screen on 20 May 2022.
